AmeriCorps Service Opportunity Available

What is AmeriCorps?

AmeriCorps, the domestic Peace Corps, engages more than 70,000 Americans each year in intensive, results-driven service. Here in West Virginia, nearly 700 members are serving to meet some of the most critical needs in West Virginia, including poverty and illiteracy.

 

Taking AmeriCorps to the Frontline

Looking for a way to make your mark? AmeriCorps on the Frontline is looking for 20 movers and shakers to serve with at-risk secondary students. Through this program, The Education Alliance is working with communities  in Cabell, Calhoun, Doddridge, Monroe, Pleasants, Pocahontas, and Raleigh Counties to help middle school students succeed in school. You can volunteer to serve in one of these counties and provide  900 hours of service that may change a student’s life for the better! Click here to  view the complete position description.
